“We are back to dancing with the most beautiful motorbikes” . Marc Marquez said this yesterday to Marca at the presentation of the Barcelona GP which took place at the Monasterio de Sant Miquel del Poble Espanyol.
“After four years with many injuries and no results, you start to doubt yourself – he repeated, then added – I decided to change with the aim of going back to having fun and being competitive, and it’s working. For me, just being in a head-to-head battle with the two fastest riders on Ducati, Martín and Bagnaia, is already a lot.”
After two second places in Jerez and Le Mans, Márquez is already third in the general classification and at the Barcelona Circuit he will be looking for a victory that has eluded him since October 2021, when he won at Misano.
However, the Catalan driver wanted to point out that Montmeló, where he won three times, never went particularly well for him: “In terms of layout, this circuit is not one of my strong points, but then there is the support of the fans, which helps a lot, so we will test this weekend with a different bike”.
In any case, the eight-time world champion gave some advice to the fans: “If you have a bit of money, put them on an Aprilia, they have always been very fast here”.
